Welcome to Karat India, your premier destination for jewellery rental and purchase. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. Please read these carefully before making any rental or purchase through our website.
1. General Terms
These terms and conditions govern the rental and sale of high-quality imitation jewellery through Karat India. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
2. Jewellery Quality and Description
Our jewellery is crafted from premium imitation materials, carefully designed to replicate the elegance and charm of real gold and diamonds. While we strive to ensure that our photographs and descriptions are accurate, minor variations in color or detail may occur.
3. Rental and Purchase Options
● Rental: You can rent our jewellery for a minimum of 3 days and a maximum of 15 days. The rental period begins on the delivery date and ends when the jewellery is returned.
● Purchase: Customers also have the option to purchase jewellery from our collection, allowing you to own a piece of luxury for a lifetime.
4. Rental Fees
● The rental fee depends on the piece of jewellery and the duration of the rental period.
All rental fees are payable at the time of placing the order. Rental prices are inclusive of delivery and pickup charges.
● For any delays in return beyond the rental period, Karat India reserves the right to charge late fees.
5. Purchase Prices
For items purchased through Karat India, the price listed on the product page is final. All payments must be made in full at the time of purchase.
6. No Security Deposit
We do not charge a security deposit for jewellery rentals. However, customers are required to treat the jewellery with utmost care, as outlined in Section 7.
7. Care and Responsibility
● We expect our customers to handle the jewellery delicately and with care, ensuring that it is not exposed to harsh chemicals, water, or extreme conditions that may cause damage.
● Any damage to the jewellery, beyond normal wear and tear, will be assessed, and customers may be charged for repairs or full replacement costs if necessary.
8. Use Restrictions
The rented jewellery is intended for personal use only. It is strictly prohibited to resell, sublet, or use the jewellery for commercial purposes (e.g., photoshoots, resale) without prior consent from Karat India.
9. Delivery and Return
● We offer doorstep delivery services across India. Customers must ensure timely and secure return of the jewellery at the end of the rental period.
● Late returns may incur additional charges, calculated on a per-day basis.
10. Cancellations and Rescheduling
● Orders can be canceled or rescheduled up to 48 hours prior to the delivery date without any penalty.
● If an order is canceled within 48 hours of delivery, Karat India reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee equivalent to 10% of the total rental cost.
● Rescheduling within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery will be subject to availability.
11. Damage and Loss
● In the case of minor damage, a nominal repair fee will be communicated to the customer.
● For significant damage or loss, the customer will be liable for the full replacement cost of the jewellery piece as determined by Karat India.
● In case of disputes regarding damage, Karat India’s assessment will be final.
12. Customer Obligations
● Customers agree to provide accurate information during the rental or purchase process, including delivery and return addresses and contact details.
● Customers are responsible for ensuring that the jewellery is not exposed to harsh conditions that may cause damage.
13. Refunds
● Refunds will only be provided in cases where the customer cancels within the allowed period or if the jewellery is found to be faulty or significantly different from the description provided.
● Refunds will not be provided for change of mind after the jewellery has been delivered.
14. Limitation of Liability
Karat India is not responsible for any allergic reactions or physical harm caused by the use of the rented or purchased jewellery. All items are cleaned and inspected before each rental.
15. Intellectual Property
All content on the Karat India website, including product images, descriptions, and branding, is the intellectual property of Ayansh Gems LLP. and may not be used, copied, or reproduced without express written permission.
16. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from the use of Karat India’s services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [your state].
17. Changes to Terms
Karat India reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
